    Hi,
    I've read today these news about the E3Flasher ( i cannot post the link because my low post count, but its in ps3news site today, with a video about the dual-boot with 3.72 ), and for what i undestand, with this limited edition, all fat models will need no soldering on the motherboard. Is it correct?
    Ok, looking forward to buy one, i started to look for a chart, that i have seen here in the forums, months ago, listing the models and what kind of flash each model has, but with no luck finding it.
    So, can someone enlighten me about what kind of flash memory my model has?
    It is a 2008 80gb model, one of this (CECHKxx, CECHLxx, CECHMxx, im not at home right now to say the exactly one).

    Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

    Apparently, with the limited edition, no soldering will be needed on NOR models. The limited edition isn't compatible with NAND however, but they will release a NAND version (solderless aswell) soon. In your case, this doesn't matter, because yours is NOR :P
    NAND = CECHA-CECHG
    NOR = CECHH to current

    The limited version need solder 34 wires on NAND FLASH FAT CONSOLE, it need use E3 LINKER.
    The limited version need solder 50 wires on NOR FLASH FAT CONSOLE,it need use E3 LINKER.
    The limited version need solder some points on NOR FLASH SLIM CONSOLE, no need any wire.
    and as you can see all models require soldering

    My bad, I meant not fully compatible. You cannot achieve dual boot on NAND console with the NOR version of E3 flasher, the rest works.
    Also, what you quoted was a few days ago, they announced the release of the solderless clip which will be included in their limited edition (for NOR) and in their NAND edition.

    Exactly what I was trying to say. They barely announced it today I can't wait now ill pay 88 bucks for the e3 flasher since you don't have to solder.

    Hehe. I'm thinking of waiting a bit before actually buying one myself, incase Sony patches downgrade/dual-boot (keep in mind that Sony still has control over the Syscon chip on the PS3, and maybe a syscon update will prevent the PS3 from booting 3.55, although I think if this was possible, they would have done it already). So yeah, it's most likely impossible for them to patch it, but we're not 100% sure of this.

    yes I got that thanks guys but it really hasn't changed much from what I said except for the addition of clip for limited (my guess is sales weren't what they hoped) but it does change the fact of the so called price increase since they included the clip at no extra charge
