questions about e3 downgrade

ok so i have a few questions about the e3 flasher downgrade what dongle is needed e.g do i need the e3 card reader or can i just use a normal flash drive or card reader and can someone link me to a downgrade tut as the one baileyscream posted says not to use the guide and the wiki reports that 10 pepole have a permabrick useing this guide

also my ps3 is downgradeable all ready checked and im on 4.25ofw
