Hey guys, sorry to bother anyone if this question has been asked already. For a short version of my story (if anyone cares to know) I bought a PS3 off of crags list. My mistake. Seller sent me videos of it working since she lives alone and I was willing to accept that as an answer. So after getting the videos I assumed it was good, brought it home and used it only to find it locked in demo mode. So I was happy when I saw here that there is a way to switch it to full retail.

My two main questions is first I saw threads like the one in latest news with the conversion for 3.41 software.

Now I noticed all of the threads I'm finding so far are for PS3 demo firmware 3.41. My PS3 is currently running on older demo software of 3.01. Basically I was just wondering if there was a way to jailbreak it to a full retail PS3 with the 3.01 software on it or if I need to just update it to 3.41 and then convert it. If this has already been asked and I missed the thread I apologize again.

Other thing I was just curios on is if there were any jail breaks/conversions to full retail from demo mode which did not require a USB board. I'm guessing the answer is no but I thought it might not hurt to ask. Main reason I ask is since because I don't have a USB board handy and would have to find out what one is a good one to get to use for this.

I'm not overly familiar with PS3s but I'm fairly good with PCs in general and the whole conversation process looks pretty simple. Thanks for any help.
