Question to Fellow Cobra Dongle Owners
Question to Fellow Cobra Dongle Owners –
... and to anyone that has an opinion.
I've had my Cobra Dongle and have used it with my CECH0A for a while now. The main draw was PS1 and PS2 ISO loading. The dongle has some other nice perks. PSP ISO is ok (even if incompatibility isn't very good). There's the network ISO stuff, that I honestly don't use, as well as other stuff.
The Homebrew scene has come a long way. PS1 ISOs can be loaded, and now PS2 classics can be done as well.
I can live without PSP ISOs and the other features. Faithful PS2, though, is an absolute must for me. Is compatibility good enough with the PS2 Classics for me to abandon my Cobra Dongle?
I'm not happy with how Team-Cobra is supporting the dongle anymore (or lack of support as it were). I really want to get to a good CFW. At the same time, I don't want to lose the dongle's fantastic compatibility with ps1 and ps2 isos.
ok... short form of the question. Is PS1 and PS2 iso playing on recent CFW to the point where I can get rid of the dongle (ignoring all of its other features)?
For me it won't be worth moving off Cobra until there is a solution that can use native PS2 ISOs. This is coming from someone with two PS3s (on on Rebug and one on Cobra).
Perfect. Thank you for the response.
