Question on Cinavia protection in 3.55 cfw

Hi - Firstly sorry if this is not the right place to ask but I can't seem to find any conclusive answers

My total noob question is - Cinavia DRM protection was introduced after v3.01 ( i think ) Can anyone tell me if this can be or has been excluded in the many versions 3.55 CFW relased. Sorry I ask becaseu I play bluray movies from external hdd (AVCHD) using Multiman more than I play games

Please help and don't flame me... just asking. I am on v3.01 on one PS3.

I sure hope some ps3 dev will disable this Cinavia crap DRM in an future CFW or with a pkg install or something.

There is a quick fix.... If you connected to HDMI, to go settings and pick optical out (it doesnt matter if u dont have a cable) then tick all the options and go through setup, once done u should hear any sound, but if u go to sound options and pick multi audio output, u will hear sound, and that gets rid of the protection, tried and it work :-)

I have audio on my optical cable for my ps3, will it also work then ? or does it only works when you have audio on HDMI cable?

I shall try that mate.... I really hope that'll work. That's the only reason holding me back from upgrading at the mo honestly.. will post and let you know if it works or not... cheers

Nope... no go... My movies are not dl off the net. They're actual Bluray rips from my few bluray discs I own.
Hope some kind dev can help here.. If someone can show me how to make a CFW to exlude, I would do it and post it for all to share..

Sigh - if only I knew how
