Question about Waninkoko's 3.55 cfw

Ok I'm willing to try this on my 80gb fat but I have a question.

I currently have geohots 3.55 cfw installed and I know I have to reinstall the ofw. But which method do I use? I read of ppl doing it thru the xmb update screen and I heard of it being done in restore mode. But which one is it?

Update via Recovery to OFW.

Ok so I install ofw via recovery, then do install Waninkoko's cfw in recovery too or should I install it via xmb?

Technically speaking, you should be able to do both via either method. I've been reading the other threads, and most users installed OFW via safe mode and then CFW via regular XMB.

Maybe it will work, maybe you will end with a brick. But please wait. Waninkoko is working on a better CFW. Even wait for a few days. I am saying this with a bricked console. I hope you decided to wait or the cfw worked for you when you tried.

I would wait a while if I were you, I know I'm not installing that yet.

There's no point when nothing even works for it yet.

What model do u have. Fat or slim and how many gigs

Ok I tried via xmb on my cechl and after install ps3 beeped 3 times. Turned on ps3 and tried to install signed pkg's for geohots 3.55 and still got error. Owell I'm just happy it didn't brick my ps3. Even if it did brick I have a spare slim that I will never modify.
