question about metal gear solid 4 please answer

I was reading the compatibility list for what games work on backup managers and MGS4 works pretty much it says but I am pretty sure I heard somewhere later in the game it installs a PSX emulator or something and you can't get passed that part unless you get a save file passing it or have the original game at hand?

nope thats not true i have the game in my hdd and finished it more then 5 times alrdy
without any problems what so ever...

internal i believe. and it works just fine
