question about FW 3.41

I just need to confirm,I used MD5 check program named MD5 check utility v2.31. on the MD5 of 3.41 EU Update

it's the same FW file I downloaded to and updated to 3.41,results:
E07D2B84C9E9691C261B73E5F1AADA20

I already Updated my PS3 Slim{to 3.41} before verified,not smart move,but can I still hack right?

I didn't Updated to 3.42 My version on the PS3 is right now 3.41. ,but I've heard you need 3.41 with the right Dash to use the jailbreak,right?
