A question about the firmware! Yes, No or Perhaps??

Hello guys!

Yesterday I bought a 160GB Playstation Slim with version CECH-2504A and OFW 3.50 factory.

And was wondering if I can put CFW kmeaw without problems??

I have some risk?

well i suggest you wait for a stable one .there are many bugs in these CFW .

Yes it is ok for your console. Install original original firmware 3.55 first before you put the Kmaew on it. Check the MD5 hashes.

Been answered loads of times chap probably could have just done a search?

Certain people on here love flaming people who "do not search" and ask "n00bish" questions etc etc.

Prob why nobody helped? Anyway best of luck mate.

Use Kmaew CFW by the way...I would avoid Wininkoko at this time

You won`t brick. The 256MB nands get bricked with Wininkoko CFW, which you do not have. Therefore, as long as your MD5 hashes of your custom firmware PUP match the ones posted in these forums and do it according to procedure, you are 99% safe.

But if in doubt, don`t do it!

Downgrading to 3.41 is a different story (covered elsewhere). Again, doesn`t apply to you.

As far as I know, you can, I just do it as a matter of course when messing around with CFW.

That's not what one of the tutorials says.....unless it's different if you're on FW 3.50 to start with...?
