QA Flagging for 3.66 –
08-19-2011,03:56 PM
Is there QA Flagging for 3.66? What I heard is that there is a different button combo and the token is different. Are people working on finding the token and button combo? Will they? Is it a lot harder to find the token for 3.66 then it is for 3.55? Also is anyone working on a 3.66 cfw, or for that matter anything to do with downgrading, cfw, etc... for 3.66? Also is there a solderless way of downgrading? I don't want to take apart my PS3 like I did my xbox (I broke it). Thanks

There is no way to software downgrade from any official firmware 3.56+. QA flagging didn't really solve anything, as far as I know, and I haven't seen anyone talking about it recently (other than for 3.55). Gitbrew managed to sign a 3.60 package, but it's still a long way from a CFW above 3.55. Solderless clips for modchips/flashers have not been released to the public yet (and may very well still be in development) and there is no current release date, so you are probably just out of luck for any of this at the moment. Even if you used a solderless clip, you'd still have to take the ps3 apart to install it.

True, but you can install firmwares with QA flagging, I have seen it. If finding the Token is hard, it's supposed to be in the debug firmware for 3.66 (Which currently serves no purpose unless you have a devconsole as far as I understand. I haven't taken a look at the debug firmware, but I'm sure someone that knew what they were doing did they could find the token. If someone got the token out of there and finding the button combo then could you not QA Flag? All you need to find the button combo is a idiot who smashes buttons on their controller, kidding. Therefor downloading a different firmware/packages.
