PSP PS1 Eboots on ps3? is it possible?

Hello,

Im sure your all aware that you can create playstation 1 eboots of games to run on your psp.

Could these be run on a jailbroken ps3 because theyre essentially the same as eboots off the PSN just unsigned.

Im going to attempt this once my maximus board arrives.

Also, can you run anything off the PSN that has been bought on a seperate account. For example, Wipeout HD, or a playstation 1 game? I could see this being one of the first things being made able to do.

It's already been attempted and no go. I would have loved to play vagrant story on my ps3. But so far, no progress.

I would of thought that homemade ps1 eboots could work, somehow.

Do you have a link to a discussion or where you heard this didnt work.

Don't worry, it'll happen soon. But people are just getting their hands on the PS3. We have a lot of information now that we didn't have for a long time. Give it a month and we'll see PS1 games being played.

It sucks that I can't back up what I said, too many threads to keep track of. But I asked the same question, and someone thought of it before I asked. Seems like everything is encrypted, The person can drag the entire folder that contains the psone classics to psp and then back and it will work. But if it wont work if you grab the game individually. And you can't mix and match files, it wont work.

The PS3 scene is still young. I hope someone comes up with something. For I enjoy the ps1 games alot more and would be nice to have a collection stored on the ps3.

If someone who has a debug PS3 and a retail PSN game, creates a debug.pkg of a PS1 classic, maybe it can be done.

i have the original ps1 disk of it. it looks a bit better than on ps2. but i would not play it on bigger display than regular tv on ps3.

currently it's most fun to play on psp, because the small screen hides the shortcomings of ps1 graphics hardware. if/when ps2psxe gets sound support - it will be the way to go with that game. it already looks amazing on it.
