I'm going to assume you have psfMod?

With psfMod, you need to have a special payload that allows PSN and patched gaming. I too got a desire, but i cant find the payload!



If you don't ahve psfMod, then you need to do the following:
1) Enable S-OFF [AlphaRev] Public release S-OFF HTC Desire GSM - xda-developers
2) Download psfmod recovery psfMOD :: Bravo
3) once downloaded, boot into fastboot (with the 3 androids on skateboards), make sure you're in fastboot (first option on the first screen) and plug in a USB.
4) go to the AndroidSDK/Tools folder, and run the following command:

fastboot flash recovery [location of the .img file]

hi mate thanks for the reply i dont realy understand the htc desire its my girlfriends and i really just rooted it without reading up on it because i couldnt wait to jailbreak my ps3.

i rooted htc using this method

i then used this rom on my htc

[ROM-FROYO 2.2.1 FRG83] OpenDesire v4.0.36 (CFS/BFQ/SVS-OCUV) (FM RADIO/OTA)(14/10) - xda-developers

and then installed this payload to jailbreak ps3

it works great using gaia manager 1.0.3 every thing works, patch mode, most games and ftp

im sorry if i sound dumb im trying my best not too lol but i dont understand what your saying, are you saying if i use psfmod to jailbreak my ps3 ill be able to use psn

psfMod is essentially what came about when Amon_RA stopped making his custom recovery image with PSFreedom installed. psfmod will replace your recovery partition. Just follow the above instructions and you'll have a new recovery image on the phone and then can load a custom payload to get onto PSN.

and how would htat psfreedom flashing thing work anyways? I flash the enable file and hten its always enabled? i just plug the phone in and boot hte ps3 normally?

as in, there is no need for me to reboot to psfmod all teh time?

im using psfmod 0.2 and the hermes 4b psn payload i got from here:-

so, what did you do? extract the hermesv4.bin file and then boot that from psfmod?

or did you acutally go through all those steps and created your own payload?

there are 3 links at the bottom of that post, get the hermes + psn one (its a payload.bin file) and then load this as custom payload option with psfmod0.2....simples

So i downloaded this one:

so i went in the hermes folder within the zip and extracted the hermesv4.bin file. I'll give that a shot
