psn help needed

hi recently have been trying to use the new psn hexes to get on the psn but everytime i try to create a new account or use an existing one i get the error code 80710104 which i believe is a dns error i have checked all my settings on my router and even tried the ps3 at a neighbours house and keep getting the same error.

does anyone know where i am going wrong i am in the uk using a minimus v1 with pl3 psn eco dev hex but have tried others and i am getting the same message.

Why don't you create a new account on your computer, then activate it with your ps3?
That's what i did and it's working fine.

what do you do to activate an account on the ps3 as when i go to use existing account i get the same message.

I was having the same problem...happened after I was playing scott pilgrim and it froze and I did a hard reset, restoring all my files with a star next to my username. Try getting into the recovery menu and doing a database rebuild. if that doesn't help, backup your stuff and do a format and restore. That fixed it for me. A format where you take out the drive and format it on another machine would be best and quickest. Format it to NTFS.
