Is PSN accessible through 3.41 CFW?

Hi Guys,

I have what might sound like a noobish question, but it's only been a week since i started getting envolved in the ps3 jailbreak scene.

I have a 40GB PS3 with 3.41 CFW, Downgraded from OFW 3.50 using an E3 Downgrader.

All of the PKG files that i have downloaded work perfectly and i'd like to chuck out a big thanks to both comgenie and, if i got this right, dean for his continued work with Multiman, which i am upgrading to the latest version as we speak and my god is rapidshare slow, though i guess slow as **** share wouldnt work quite as well.

Any way, my question is quite simply, using hermes 4B, how do you guys go on PSN using firmware below 3.55? I've read posts of users spoofing this and that but i don't understand how it is possible to play games online through PSN while on CFW 3.41? unless i have miss understood the posts that i have read.

If it is possible though, would one of you be good enough to chuck me up a link to a tutorial please?

hey mate people that had 3.41 found a loophole to spoof there ps3 to 3.50 so that they can run psn on there jailbrocken ps3. sony quickly fixed that loophole and ever since nobody has found a way to go on psn. but maybe after tomorrow you might be able to to upgrade your ps3 to 3.55 and no need to worry about dongles

thanks for the responses, i was beginning to think that i had asked a dickish question what with the 1st response being like it was.

I was trying to referre to hermes v4B with 3.55+ spoofing, lol, i forgot the name of the software when i initially wrote the question out.

I knocked that on the head though since i recently read that it has no other functionallity other than to get 3.50/55 OFW titles to play on a 3.41 CFW jailbroken system which is kind of odd because i thought the secondary purpose of that software was to block unwanted downloads from and allow access to the PSN, but oh well, guess you cant have everything, i was just looking so forward to a game on bad company 2 online.

Seemed pointless to upgrade to 3.55 for 2 main reasons.

1: I know that their is a way to get games running off the ps3 internal HDD (not sure about external drives) using FTP's/Comgenies File Manager but there is no official 100% tried and tested, working backup manager such as multiman for 3.41 CFW.

2: I don't know for certain if there is a way back from 3.55 CFW if i upgraded back down to 3.41 CFW. I've read a lot of reports that say going down from 3.55 to 3.41 either change hard ware device settings or can lock you in service mode or brick you're system entirely.

I don't know what to do for the best as i sincerely want to be able to game online but want to be able to play reliable back ups also. As far as 3.55 CFW goes, i guess the new line of PS3's will have 3.55 OFW installed into them as standard which means that i'll have to downgrade at some point anyway if my current system blows. That is if they dont change the hardware in the new systems and SDK's in the latest titles, which could pull everything that you guys have acheived down.

just thought i would say that ive got PSN going on KMEAWS CFW 3.55 and i've not been banned yet so i guess it will be like that until they release 3.60 or whatever else comes next.
