psfreedom error 80029519
I have got an iphone 2g that I managed to get psfreedom working on, and last night had the time to set it up, after several false starts I got it running well and installed backup manager from usb. All is good so far, I then ran backup manager and installed two games from disc to the internal hard drive on my slim, they all ran with no problems as expected. This was all in one sitting and feeling pleased with myself I decided to call it a day. I turned off and unplugged the ps3. Now today I got the ps3 move controller and with my boy had a few games, the demos required you to install them to the hard drive which I did and all was good. We then went to run the jailbreak thing and it ran first time, loading up with the two extra icons in game. Now I then went to run backup manager and it wouldn't load, it gave me an error 80029519. I then thought I would reinstall the backup manager which the ps3 allowed me to do, however it won't run I keep getting the same error. I have installed the ftp app and I get the same error. I would expect this error if i hadn't done the jb and it was at stock firmware, however this is whilst the jb is active. I'm stumped as it is the same psfreedom on the same iphone without any changes that I am using and it worked well last night, it's probably something easy and I am hoping for some input from more knowledgeable peeps.
Can anyone help me sort this out, I hope that by installing the move demos I didn't shaft something. Short of reset the ps3 to factory I don't know what to do (if possible I don't want to factory reset the ps3 as I won't be able get them again due to being on 3.41 and not 3.42)
Thanks in advance
i am on the same road i am trying to figure it out jb with a iphone 3g iphodriod brand new playstation 2days old and it never seen the internet .so i dont think you screwed yourself i think its just a bug
I finally sorted it out and can now get it 100% every time, here is what I have found.
1. run android on the iphone until you see init scrolling. (timing in this part isn't that important as long as init is scrolling when you do the power+eject bit).
2. plug the iphone into either usb port on the front.
3. Plug the ps3 in and press power+eject within 1 second.
4. As soon as you see the six lines on the iphone (the last one says unknown psfreedom driver) you must unplug the iphone, this is the most important bit.
I found the difference between timings on unplugging the iphone resulted in jb working or not. Regardless of the timing on the removal of the iphone from the usb I always got the two extra folders (install pkg etc.) however the installed pkg apps would give me the error 80025915 if the timing isn't right. I have found it works 100% only when I remove the usb plug from the iphone instantly when the psfreedom driver line appears. I have to watch the phone.
I have a 250gb slim, iphone 2g 3.1.3 redsn0w jailbroken, running 3.41 on the ps3:)
One more thing to keep in mind:
Don't have a controller connected by USB while booting your console in JB mode or you will boot into retail mode.
You are correct timing is key for a day i been playing with this ps3 and as you said as soon as you see (unknown psfreedom driver)you must pull the cord fast Thank you alot this will help out many with the iphone ps3JB
now works perfect on ps3 slim thanks a lot:D

no, once it's unplugged you don't need to replug it at all. When the iphone is doing it's thing, the display will change to saying device challenged and scroll for a bit and then change to the six lines which end with unknown psfreedom driver. The instant that appears unplug the iphone and do not plug it in again, all being well you should have unplugged the phone before anything has appeared on the tv screen. It only appears about a second after I unplug the iphone, hope this helps:)
I had it working 100% of the time, I have now moved on to the minimus so don't use the iphone to do it anymore:)
I just wanted to make sure because once I unplugged it, it was continuing to work.
Something was scrolling really fast.
I will try again to unplug it as soon as I can see the "unknown Psfreedom" error and hopefully it will work.
