PSBreak.....HELP!

Hey,

I recently purchases a ps3break 1.1 and just found out over the week end I cant upgrade it as it has a PICC chip on it. So I have ordered a X3Max as it is totally programmable and future proof.

The problem I have at the mo is that for some reason my PS3 won't play bluray movies whilst the jailbreak is activated. It did work and now all of a sudden its stopped. The discs come up as data discs in the movie section and it says its installer files .pkg???? They do nothing like they fake links?

Any ideas would be a great help!

Just because it has the PIC chip does not mean you cannot upgrade it if it is a version 1.1. They forgot the bootloader on the version 1.0 PIC chips. The 1.1 should update just fine. Try their new updater program with the .mhex files and see if it will upgrade.

Go to GOGSoftware.com, and download all the 1.1 stuff. Out of all the dongles, I'm using the break right now the most. The new hex has hermes 4.b + xoeo psn.

As for the blu-ray, I have not tried it (yet). But, I did notice the games showing up as data disks!

I have tried everything to get the firmware updated but it never gets read by windows. Some times it comes up as a generic hub but it never loads in their new software.

Try to shoot them a email may be helpful .

Load the PS3break loader software.
Then put the ps3break into the usb.
Next, press and hold the Update button for 3-4 seconds.

If not, have you checked with their website to see if you have an authentic ps3break?

Also, make sure you ran the VC Runtime Enviornment Package on your PC.

Thanks for all the help.

I have tried everything apart from the VC Runtime Enviroment package so I will give that a try tonight.

When I hold the update button for any amount of time nothing happens.

You must install those files or it wont work properly.

You only need to hold the button down for 2-4 seconds, and its when you release the button the burner program will recognize it.

The ps3break v1.1 has turned out to be a decent break. the support so far has been good, regardless of the past issues and shady practices.

Do you know where the files can be downloaded from? I have installed the ones from the PSbreak website but the card is still not being found....
