I just discover that the PS3Yes dongle cannot be removed during game while the PS3Break dongle can.

So there is an advantage for PS3Break over PS3Yes dongle when we need to play Move games from external HDD which requires a USB port for the PS3Eye.

But the PS3Yes has an Atmel chip I believe, whereas PS3Break is PIC, so you could just flash the PS3Yes to PSGroove

But flashing the PS3Yes with PSGRoove Hex will lost the auto upgrade function which next time you must break it out and short two pad to enter upgrade mode.

    Qoute from PS3Yes homepage
"PS3YES! can flashed with PSGroove HEX, but it will lost the auto upgrade function, next time you must break it out and short two pad to enter upgrade mode.

Well that kinda sucks... maybe someone could modify PSGroove to retain that feature. Still better to have an upgradeable Atmel one than a troublesome PIC board, imo. Maybe you could use a USB hub?

Just spend $10 on a USB hub...

You know that the jailbreak works by emulate a messed USB hub right?

you can plug your jb into your usb hub and it still works normally. so then you won't need it in your console at all.

You do not need to short 2 pads to enter mode to upgrade if you stick with original PS3Yes i.e. if you do not upgrade the original PS3Yes to PSGroove hex.

According to PS3Yes website, the original PS3Yes comes with auto update which you do not need to short the 2 pads.

How ? By flash to ps3yes from ps3yes website only then I can re-flash every time when they come with a new auto update on their website ? but not to PSgroove hex because I will lose it ?
