ps3 wont turn on

i put kmeaw on it a few weeks ago then suddenly it wont turn on get green light but get a black screen tried resetting settings via power button still same, then went to recovery and it wouldnt show until i took harddrive out so i put a spare in thinking it was broke the sytem formatted it then after that i got same black screen now cant do anything at all

any help would be appreciated...

have you reset the video settings in recovery mode, maybe a hdmi problem. possibly try on another tv, or cable
google has alot answers regarding black screen issues..

try this ................put the system in Stand By mode (Solid Red Light). 2nd Put your finger on the touch power buttion to turn the system on BUT holdit there untill you hear 3 beeps. 1St Beeps says the system has started up, then the other 2 quick beeps says
the system has restored the settings back to the default manufactory settings

it deos sound like a cable connection issue

when you turn the ps3 on, before the black screen do you see anything? like the boot logo? or any sound?

it's most probably hdmi problem, try using another one, or another tv set :\

i can only get to see it reformatting hard drive then black screen ,i can get into recovery mode and see that but always black screen after format hd when its supposed to install firmware fck it cba with it

Mine has the same thing but I can't even access the recovery menu. B4 it cut out it showed up blue, green n pink dots, then the PS locks up.

Think the output needs resoldering?

Its not a ylod... it just wont display- tried resetting display n still no joy.

I'm gonna try n get it fixxed. Just can't find anywhere in my area...

*Bump*

Was on YouTube looking for fixes and found one to do with the hdd, unplugging, power cycle, replugging... this worked to boot my ps3 to the same point and it happened again. Thing is- its hit and miss astonished when it loads gameos regardless. Does the ps3 boot without the hdd? Tried it and still no joy. Sometimes I get audio but no picture, others I get a blod (with white dots on), but most of the time its just my blue Tv screen. Got afew numbers to ring 2moz, but anything anyone knows regarding hdd would be handy.
