PS3 Won't read my .PKG files (Including Test.pkg)

Hey guys, i have a PS3 60GB phat, and i managed to install Geohot's 3.55 JB successfully with the Install package drop down icon being there.

However, i copy and pasted the test.pkg to my USB Root directory, formatted under Fat32, and on the PS3 it just doesn't show anything.

Does it need to be signed or something? Ive reverted back to Official, re-installed JB and i still cant see any .pkg files. Any idea's?

try restoring in recovery or formatting USB
