PS3 without BD

Hi,I found in wardrobe my old PS3 60GB.This console does not have BD inside.I tried to install OFW 3.55 but installation get stopped.Is there any chance to install any firmware and play backup on this console without BD?

You need at least the original logic board connected into the PS3 to install anything on it. It's a security thing built into the PS3.

Wasn't there a CFW for 3.55 released which has a BD bypass in it? Or would that not apply here?

This is impossible because I don`t have the old BD

You mean that I can try install CFW for bypass BD?

That's right, there was. It was a patch file you can apply against a firmware. Not sure if it works on the CFW's though. Might want to check it's respective thread.
