    PS2 games are currently impossible, except via the traditional method of inserting a real PS2 disk and playing it on the BC PS3.

    Ps1 games can be played via Mednafen, which is a multi-system emulator, also supporting PS1 disk images, emulation is far from perfect but its the best and only way to play PS1 backups at the moment. Most games run at 50% speed with audio glitches, some run faster.

    To do this you must have CFW installed on your PS3, Kmeaw 3.55 and Rebug seem to be the most popular. Kmeaw is probably the most user-friendly, i don't know much about Rebug.

    And yes, you are crazy. :P

    I'm sure all PS3's can play psx games from a CD but you need that Cobra USB Dongle to play ISO's of PSX games.

    Only BC PS3's can play PS2 Discs and PS2 ISO's (with that Cobra USB Dongle)

    Oh man, only bad news...
    No, "Mednafen" is not good idea, because was not perfect... but "Cobra USB Dongle" sounds better, sooo... how is it exactly the "BC" PS3?

    BC = Backwards Compatible, the earlier phat models, I call them first-gen phat systems.

    So far Cobra USB Dongle only supports 3.41 but they said they are planning to support 3.55.
    PS3 Slim w/ stock 160 GB HDD
    ReBug 3.55.1 (no OtherOS++ Support....for now)
    500 GB ext. hard drive-100 GB WBSF- 15 GB NTFS-Rest FAT32
    MultiMan w/ BDEMU-2

    Still learning! Check me out on XDA-Forums (UberMario)
