PS3 Slim 320GB CECH-2504b retail 3.55 firmware downgradable? PS3 Model Recommendation?

some years ago I sold my PS3 fat (60GB) because I was bored of it.

Which PS3 Model would be best to own? open source homebrew wise?

I have found a seller who is selling a used PS3 320GB CECH-2504b he stated that the firmware was on 3.55 retail.

I can recall that I heard the CECH-2504b is protected against downgrading to older Firmware?

Does the Firmware 3.41 have a better support after all? Would it make sense to downgrade? Or is the PS3 320GB CECH-2504b (retail 3.55) good to go?

just one more question, Kmart or Wallmart, do they still have PS3's on 3.50 or are the new units all on 3.60? Is there any sort of serial number to look for?

install 3.55 cfw kmeaw and all will be fine

^ what he said.... i just got a slim that was on 3.41 and went to kmeaw 3.55.. if i cant play all games...oh well. most of them are covered anyway, got the xbox for all the other stuff and better online play + better controllers... i just wanted the ps3 mostly for emulators haha. and sure kmart or wallmart may have some..but youll never know. best bet is pawnshops (you can test em there) or ebay.
