hello am new here.. I got a ps3.. cech 3001b software version 4.31 and I would like to know if it is possible to jail break it.. thanks allot. I have seen on some sites its possible.. but I wanna know for sure

No its not possible... 3000's lowest downgraded firmware is 3.66. To jailbreak you need a ps3 with a mfr date of 2010 or earlier which will then be able to downgrade to 3.55.
