PS3 SLIM (with 3.73 Firmware ) - Jailbreak it.

So, i've been around these forums for a couple of days now. I've recently acquired a PS3 Slim ( 120 gb? ) CECH-2004A. It's firmware is 3.73.
So after some snooping around the forums/other webs - I cant downgrade to 3.55 without a flasher? But i can update to 4.30, right?
I havent turned my PS3 on yet, and i havent done anything, until psx-scene confirms my actions -
ps3haxblogs. wordpress(dot)com/2012/10/31/ps3-4-30-downgrade-to-3-55-released-2/ - Is this legitimate?

I'd be very thankful, if someone was to reply in a couple of hours.

I don't really understand the whole image, of how jailbreaking works - And i have a few questions related to external HDD's... But that'll wait.

Without even looking at the link, I can say you need a hardware flasher to downgrade to 3.55 before you can do any jailbreak.

Check which distributor is closest to you and see if they ship to where you are. There are plenty of tutorials around to find out what to do, search for one and have a read.

Okay, but i've read, that E3 has it's own CFW, and that it doesnt let you use anyone else's? - Is it bad? ( For my case )
Also, How do i find out, whether i need a NOR or a NAD( was it? )

No offense but this has been written so many times in so many places that its not even funny to reply anymore. Everything after 3.55 is impossible to jailbreak it does not matter if you go forward or back. The original from firmwares from sony has inbuilt protection after 3.55, that is why that is a "magic number" when it comes to firmwares. The numbers say nothing, just because you are on 3.73 and there is CFW that is 4.XXX it does not matter, your official 3.73 has inbuilt protection from installing a custom firmware.

You have to open up the ps3, hardware flash to 3.55. You flash to official 3.55 and from there do whatever CFW you want....I think, have not flashed anything but 3.55=magic that is all you need to know

Using my hand I found out that I had two NADs.
