PS3 SDK Guide –
10-24-2010,03:59 PM
Hi Guys & Gals,
I've updated my PS3 SDK Guide site...
I'm still writing up the Ubuntu stuff however links are available on my site. I will be adding the Ubuntu guide, and how-to for both PL3 & Hermes 4B as well as moh.sakhaii's open manager.
My Ubuntu VM contains a hot-swappable SDK as well (switch between 1.92 & 3.41 with ease)
Visit my site: JamesTanner.co.uk
Password for sudo & user = "password" without the quotes
Note: If you already have evilsperms multi-sdk vm, you do NOT need mine. My VM was the birth of the multi-sdk and I gave evilsperm the how to for him to update his VM's (which he has done)
That being said, my guides will of course be based on my VM as I know exactly 100% it works as per instructions in my (soon to be up) Guide.
Cheers
J

No probs - Just to mention, my Ubuntu guide will be based on my pre-setup VM - so might be worth the d/l to save you messing around installing the SDK

Looks good to me. People never using Ubuntu or virtual box should be able to start off good.
I was hoping for an actual guide on installing the sdk on ubuntu, like your windows guide.
But good work nonetheless. I'll keep using the VB images until I can figure out how to install the sdk onto my ubuntu machine.

Erm... illegal content right there. Sure, you're not providing the official SDK links but telling people on where to download them and how to install the SDK still doesn't make everything right.
It's only right if it was the open source SDK, not the offical SDK...

who what where why when huh? I didn't proclaim it to be 100% legit. On my site It does mention finding the SDK yourself, but I've recently added links to a VM with the SDK built in. I'm not sharing anything illegal on this forum, and incase you hadn't noticed 90% of the current compiled stuff is using the illegal SDK! Infact Hermes 4B is written to USE the illegal SDK. Sure you can edit it but thats not the point.
This thread Isn't a discussion on the wrongs or rights.

Ill get there eventually - probably once I've finished the current write-up list. Someones requested compiling AsbestOS so thats on the list too.

And what exactly is illegal?
And also, in which country/countries, and according to which laws?
Thanks.
