Everyone should know the state of the scene by now and it's not going to change overnight just be grateful for what you have and what other companies have to offer no need to piss on anyone decision to charge for their services and there is no need to piss on any devs that don't choose to release anything (Shout out to Math) We all knew what we got ourselves into when the hackers challenged Sony with this "jailbreaking thing" so none of this should be to any surprised.

So instead of complaining and bashing let things be.

While I agree with some(not all) of your statements, do you REALLY believe it was necessary to make another thread about the scene drama? You make no point here that hasn't been made at least a dozen times by one person or another already. All you're doing is feeding the flames.

If the best jailbreak requires an $80 dongle or a $150 flasher, is it still the best jailbreak? Of course.
But is it eight times better than the $10 dongle? Perhaps not, but does the $80 dongle have a feature you need?

If it does, like True Blue's online gaming and new game support, then it is up to the needs of the user to decide if it is worth the price.

I almost never do online gaming, save trophy synchronization. And I am not sure what constitutes as a 'new game' yet, so it is not worth it for me at this point.
But I expect the option to be available.

It's just a paraphrased Mac vs. PC argument.
Buying it because it's shiny? **** off, you're overpaying.
Buying it because you're a graphics/movie/music designer? Go right ahead, you can actually use it.
Doesn't change that you can build a MUCH faster PC for the same price. (Or hell, half the cost of a Mac.)

Yes but people knew what they got themselves into when Geohot got sued. They knew that the jailbreaks would be slow and many devs would pull out. But there is an (option) out there to player newer games and it should be left at that. Some people think that the whole PS3 scene should be free and which it causes drama and uproar when someone wants to charge. But like I said they have the (option) to pay for it or just do something else
