Ps3 to PC with crossover cable?
It's Possible?? How?
I tried, but can not find the link to PC! I set the network adapter PC:
Example
Ip: 192.168.0.1
Gateway: 192.168.0.2
Mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS: empty
DNS2: empty
PS3:
Ip: 192.168.0.2
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 192.168.0.1
DNS2: 192.168.0.1
But Not working!!! :cry:
How do I do?
Are you talking about the FTP server?
I used a normal ethernet cable and didn't even had to change any settings.

Once it starts doing the network test, i cancelled
Open terminal or command prompt and ping the IP of your PS3 to make sure you did it right, if you get a reply, launch the FTP app and start the service
Then pick your favourite FTP program (I use transmit on my Mac), disable PASV mode, and put the IP address of the PS3 (The PS3 FTP app will show you)
You need to use username FTPD12345 (like that in uppercase)
Pick any password like : vafanculosony

why would you use a crossover cable? you only use a crossover cable to connect two of the same things...use an ethernet cable bro
No thats not true at all. The reason that you DONT need a crossover is the fact that the ps3 has gigabit lan, and one of the specs of that is a feature where it can detect the cable being used and cross itself over internally if needed to make the proper connection.Quote:

Dont adjust any ip settings, dont set any static ips, take a standard ethernet cable and hook it up. Theoretically each machine SHOULD have a self assigned ip address that begins with 169.254 and a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0. Its basically the same thing as an adhoc network on wireless.
