07-04-2011,12:26 PM
Sup.
So I was tryin to install the the rebug spoof 3.66 on my ps3...i installed the pkg and then i ran it. pressed L1+X and waited like 5mins but the screen just stayed black which didnt happen to me when i did other spoofs...i turned it off (big mistake?) and now when i turn it on it happens the same thing black screen. although I can turn it on recovery mode and when i try any option the same thing happens again...black screen.
Definetly bricked?
EDIT1:
I have now tried the option " Rebuild database" Then it says that it doesnt access to the hdd...what could it be possible? im goin to try and change my hdd..i had one of my old 60gb YLOD.
thanks in advance

So I'm guessing Software Update, it asks for 3.66?

I had this problem with an older spoof.
I would suggest you to re-install the firmware. (kmeaw, rebug) or what ever you are on now.
After the install the ps3 would tell you that there is a problem with your hdd and will fix it for you and everything will be fine.
That`s what i did to fix this problem....
EDIT: i had the same problem with you and when i tryed the Rebuild database it said that it couldnt access the hdd....

Give it the 3.55 update. To be safe, use 3.55 OFW then use 3.55 kmeaw afterwards.
Edit: Also Rebuild Database will not solve firmware problems. It's strictly HDD related. It's basically like a disc defragmentation.

I did the xact same thing yesterday, What i realized is that I accidently installed the 3.41 spoof pkg instead of the 3.55 pkg. So I was semi-bricked like you are.
