PS3 Jailbreak Question

Hi guys. I have a question and i hope someone can help me. I have non-jailbreaked PS3 fat and i want to jailbreak it. It's version 3.73. I saw that everyone who is playing backup games is using 3.55 CFW. So my question is this: Do I have to downgrade my PS3 to 3.55 and then update with 3.55 CFW or it's not a problem to update it with 3.73 CFW and play backup games from external HDD. Thanks in advance :}

Yes, but you may want to wait. You have to buy hardware to downgrade, but there *might* be an exploit soon for 4.00 from Kataroto.
