ps3 games off an old ipod?

Now with the ps downgrade update out, and hopefully now also working. Ive been postponing getting a ps3 jailbreak solution as i accidence upgraded my ps3 a while back *doh*. But now it seems i can finally get in on the fun without having to replace my ps3.

So my actual question is this, can i use my old ipod as an external harddrive to store games on? Or do i have to get a new external harddrive?

If that did work, and i'm not saying it won't, i'd think you would have a horrible experience because of drive speed. I'm not sure about the rpm on the hdd but i assume you would have a choppy/laggy experience... if possible

I have an ipod and a ps3, but i dont wanna break anything today
But just to give an educated guess, I would say NO this won't work

EDIT: from the little info I got, the drive spins at 4200 RPM

aw, well the reason I ask is that the Wii doesnt work with an ipod at all. I guess I could use my 8gb usb stick and just do with 1 game at a time until I get around to getting a proper drive.

I have managed to load PS3 games off my iPhone (there is a program in Cydia called USB drive….its *EXTREMELY* slow to deal with….but, MOST games will end up freezing…Of the 5 or 6 games I tried, only 2 loaded…I am not sure if it has something to do with the fact that the PS3 can't power devices via USB or something? But, I can imagine ANYTHING that is mass storage would work with the PS3….

Ah, well I guess the easiest way to find out then. Is to give it a try... If all else fails Ill just have get a drive. Would just be nice to use my 120gb ipod for something... never use it anymore as i run everything on my phone hehe.
