PS3 freezes a lot when Disk is inserted.

Hello all. I have a weird issue with my PS3. It freezes a lot when Disc is inserted. After restart, console works 5 – 10 min and then is frozen. It happened when I play game or when I transfer files through FTP.
Also it happens (but rare) when select game in PS3 menu and wait 3 – 10 seconds but not start it.
Before that issue I used to have OFW 3.41 with USB dongle (Hermes FW) and I didn’t have this freeze issue.
My PS3 model: 120GB PS3 Slim (CECH2004A)
My Disk is “Assassin's Creed 2”
I have tried next operation to fix this weird issue:
1.Install CFW Kmeaw 3.55
- Multiman v 15.02
- Rogero8.1
- lv2-v6
- FIX PERMISSIONS Waninkoko Kmeaw CFW 3.55
- Gaia 2.07
- Reinstall to OFW and back to CFW Kmeaw 3.55
2.Install CFW Waninkoko 3.55 v.2
- Multiman v 15.02
- Rogero8.1
- lv2-v6
3.Formated PS3 hard through menu

When I eject Disk issue disappears but it is not a solution because nowadays there are games which can be played with disk only.

Anyone have any suggestions about this issue?

i would try reinstalling OFW 3.55 then flashing CFW 3.55 on top that cause it sounds like you went from OFW 3.41 to CFW 3.55 and that could be the reason for the issues try it and let us know

Sorry for misunderstanding i used to have 3.41 and then before CFW 3.55 i installed OFW 3.55

may look into rebuilding database, reformatting. does it only do this when booting w/disc in. have u tried playing games discless

Yes i have tried and in this case PS3 doesn't freeze! issue disappears when disk is ejected. But there is a lot of games which won't run w/o disc.
What do you mean "may look into rebuilding database"? can you explain in details?

Go into recovery mode and run the HDD options in there.

Ventilation? Is it running cool enough? Its not full of dust and dog hairs and crap is it?

i tried rebuilding database from recovery mode but issue steal present.

Each time when disc is in console and i select game or manager PS3 hangs(

Try using a different disk. Perhaps the one you have is somehow causing the system to hang.
