just checked and out of the box new PS3 is firmware 3.41, how would i know if this is the full silent release, checked in system info but just mentions version 3.41??

Since the firmware is already installed the only thing you can do is try to upgrade the hdd. If it works you have the silent second, if it doesn't work then you don't.Quote:
