PS3 FAT 3.55, overwhelmed by infos
PS3 FAT 3.55, overwhelmed by infos –
Hi, I can manage to get a PS3 60GB Fat with 3.55, so I've been reading this forum for a while but I can't figure it out what to do to jailbreak it
I mean, i almost got it, but then what? 355 custom, QA, 4xx I don't really know what to do
Any direction from the really beginning, please?
Oh, is it true that these PS3 are unreliable because they break easily? Would you suggest it or I'd rather get a slim (but I really like the fatty one)
Thanks in advance guys!
edit: another info, do I need external accessories to jailbreak?
I have the same model. If you are already at 3.55 and it's never been downgraded, then no dehash is needed. Simply update firmware via the recovery menu from a USB drive formatted in FAT16/32, then install MultiMan v4.14.00 or higher via the "INSTALL PACKAGES" option that will be on your XMB after flashing with the new CFW.

It's an original 3.55.

Ok, but then what? I don't know what CF to choose. What do you suggest? And how do I put backups on my console?
I would go with Rogero 4.30 or Rebug 4.21. You can use multiman to create backups.
I suggest you to go with Rebug 3.55.3 CFW...
Then install those;
-Latest Multiman (4.16)
-Rebug Toolbox 2.0 (then dump your nand/nor-LV0-LV1 with that for any future problem)
-SEN Enabler 4.31.pkg
Buy or use FAT32 formatted USB HDD or flash disc with enough space.
Create GAMES or GAMEZ folder inside of it and put your games there.
Put the Fix-update-dlc-pkg files on the root of the drive.
There is also FTP solution for transfering games to internal hdd.
Or you can copy it on your usb drive to internal hdd (with Multiman)
But you just have a 60gb, don't bother yourself just for that.
If you wanna upgrade your hdd, just look at my thread here : http://psx-scene.com/forums/f177/tut...ug-cfw-108023/ (TUTORIAL : How To Change Your PS3 HDD Without Losing Any Data (With Rebug CFW))
