Ps3 error 8001017

Hi when i load up backup game on my external it comes up with error 8001017 i know that my blueray is working fine. Does anyone know how to fix it, is it corrupted eboot.bin or param.sfo and how do i know its corrupted?

are you on CFW or 3.41 JB ?

does this happen on a particular game or all games ?

I am on 3.4 JB and it happens to all my games because my games all got corrupted when i played kung fu rider and tried to recover my game then it came up with the error

ahh so try to rebuild the data using Recovery Mode it might fix

well you could search it in google how to put PS3 in Recovery Mode .

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu

1. Turn off Playstation®3.

2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

then choose option # 4 Rebuild Database
