ps3 drops back into xmb when trying to launch

new user here, been trying to figure this thing out all day, did search and checked FAQ.

tried internal, external backups, tried with a disc in at start, tried without

I am using ps3yes backupmanager2.0

i have legitimate copies of games i did back up of on my ps3's internal, and they just wont run, each time, it does the 1080p switch like its about to run, then it drops back into xmb menu

what am i doing wrong?

After it kicks you back to the XMB, did you try loading up your disc? When you load a game using Backup Manager, it will kick you back to XMB. From there, you need to click on your game and it SHOULD load up your backed up game.

If not, you may not be using a backup-enabled .hex file.

lol I figured you fixed it and was off playing your games and forgot about the thread..

naw, ive been trying to get this to work all day, got something loaded up for about 1 min, went to "new game" and got black screen

I think its just i need to update the hex code, and my PC doesnt register it properly so its going to be a pain.

edit: its all working now after i updated with the new hex thanks for all the help dude
