PS3 Downgrade Problem –
01-10-2013,06:25 AM
I recently got a error with 4.30 Rogero firmware, I couldn't open any application (eg, multiman, showtime, even my ps3 game disc) so I thought of downgrading it to 3.55 and then again upgrading it to 4.30 Rogero. I successfully installed the ''hybrid'' 3.55 firmware but after that when I QA toggled my PS3, and could successfully see Edy Viewer and Debug Setting when I did the key combinations on the Network Setttings. Now I go into the recovery mode to intall Rogero 3.55, I select system update and after that it asks me connect a storage media with firmware 4.40 or above, I connect my ext. hdd (which has rogero 3.55) It starts updating but when it goes to the other screen it says your system is already up to date, there is no need to update. BTW: I have a 60GB PS3, In Multiman it shows 3.55 Hermes...(Something)

Did you enable debug update on QA menu?.

I think there is no menu on QA toggle, if I start QA toggle the ps3 will beep 2 or 3 times and after that i can see edy viewer and all
