Ps3 Debug FW 2.36 Retail

PS3 Debug Firmware 2.36 appears to work at least on any phat ps3.

My ps3 is nothing special, just a phat 80gb non-bc model.
I am running an NTSC-U console, and I do not know if this would work on a pal console, or any other region.

Can you please try running a PS1 backup. All you need to do is patch the game image with this:
PSX/PS2 Disc Patcher 3.0 - PS3 NEWS - PlayStation 3 News - PS3 Forums - PS3 Downloads
(Damn we need someone who has a decent activity rate to download it from there and attach it here).

Burn it, and it should run assuming the debug firmware has properly installed (unless the debugs ability to play these discs is down to their drives as well as the firmware?)

Pyong be carefull that is working now! but consoles are bound to brake after some use i don't know why, but the machine might stop working out of the blue.
This is the same that we had before hybrid retail/debug, and those machines have all died with no aparent reason, so please be careful.

Ideally we need someone to copy the DEV_FLASH out and then a firmware emulator needs to be written (since the current firmware emulating methods only work for 3.41 dumps).

EDIT: Just saw the program now. Just make the region your PS3 console one I guess (or the one for the game?). I read on a PS3News thread that the region doesn't matter though. Master Disc doesn't come up for PS1 games, but I believe it is required for PS2 ones.

I'll be careful with my ps3, by the way, the image showed up as an audio cd.
Any way to patch them for ps3 swap use?
Also, I am unable to install any packages. (retail or debug) Error: 8001003A
