PS3 and CFW 3.55
Ive been looking all through the forum looking for a tut on upgrading to official 3.55 firmware and then JB the son of a bitch to 3.55 CFW with a pkg installer and support for multiman.
I don't know if one exists yet and i've not done much research, only had my PS3 since the weekend but have got it running 3.41 CFW, just having problems running games above 3.50 on it atm.
If anyone can help i'd be in you're debt, and please, before any one say's "thats what google's for", google bought me here where i signed up to get the help that i need.
Multiman and other backup managers are not yet working, but that is expected to change very soon.
On 3.55 the traditional methods of running backups are not immediately available. There are those trying to use other methods that are not yet 100% prefect, and there are those who are trying to make the previous methods (which were also not perfect) available in 3.55. I advise waiting a few days and keeping up with the scene news.
thankyou for the advice. I don't wish to sound rude however it felt like a combination on some posts between the bermuda triangle and hampton court maze trying to find what i was looking for. However the wealth of information floooding in at the minute takes me back to the good old days of when the original XBox was cracked.
I bet Sony are shitting kittens now, personally, i'd be expecting a new console to be released at some point in the next 24 months now that their baby's beginning to look like the HMS Titanic, proverbially speaking.
I was asking because one of the threads said that the MFW 3.55 was available and another thread showed all of the signed homebrew available for the PS3, one of which was open manager which was confirmed working though multi man had issues.
I'm assuming that when the issues with the MFW 3.55 are finalised and it is released to the jo public that it will work in the same way that 3.41 does now in that BD disks will be required to boot the game. Also, using an E3 downgrader (which are excellent btw), i assume that the update procedure will be the same as downgrading from 3.50 and then flashing to 3.41 in service mode etc...
sorry if this is a bit long winded but I've only been doing this since saturday and am more or less completely new to the PS3 home brew scene. Mind you, it does show how easy it is in that if i can downgrade and install cfw, any one can.
thanks again heran.
btw, it may sound obnoxious of me for which i appologise but rather than post links to downloads on megaupload etc... why dont you either run you're own server with the files on that or create a download section with all of the Eboots in 1 section, all of the CFW in another section and all of the homebrew in another? make searching for files a hell of a lot easier.
