PS3 CECHA 3.66 Jailbreak

I just wanted to know if it is possible to jailbreak my PS3 CECHA01 (Fat 60GB) with the latest System Software/Firmware (3.66). I have found several websites and videos where it says it is possible, but they don't specify if my model is compatible or no. Will it brick if I try that or do I need to downgrade it first?

I'd appreciate your help!

Yes and No, you cannot downgrade 3.66 via the firmware but you can with a chip installed I think.

You are out of luck. There is no jailbreak for your firmware. The videos you see floating around are fake. Search this forum and you will find countless noobs asking that same question every day and I'm pretty sure you will be flamed (cursed out)later and your thread will be closed. Also, talking about pirating on this website is prohibited as well. You are stuck possibly forever. You will have to sell yours and buy another unit with 3.55 or less.

your model is definitely downgradable through the use of the infectus chip (nand flash), Jailbreak is only available for FW 3.55 and below & you might want to rephrase your question it sounds like you want to play pirated games which is looked down upon by this forum

How long you've been here and post count and mod/admin/dev status is what kind of really determines experience somewhat to be honest. And as for the OP I really doubt you be able to obtain a 3.55 or less PS3 by just selling your current one without adding in a few $dollars.

My post count and mod/admin/dev status might be determined by the fact that I am only somewhat new to THIS!!! site. We all know there are other sites this one just might not be my favorite or the one I chose to post on regularly. But you did say somewhat so I understand what you are saying. Also, it doesn't seem I was wrong since even you piggy-backed my post and didn't add anything helpful and he just got flamed like I said he would. Nuff said. I'm out.
