It beeps and then powers off. Does that mean that the ps3jig isn't doing it's job?

I can't remember if it beeps but it shouldn't beep 5 times if it works. You could try the Lv2diag.self from the remarry rar or the one from file1 here Index of /files/lv2diag/3.55 downgrader didn't work for me but worth a try.

Darn. I tried both of those lv2diag files and they both give me the exact same results as before. :/
Do you know what the issue could be? PS3jig not working properly perhaps?

It doesn't sound like it worked you could try again you have to be quick and remember to unplug you'r ps3 first.

Well, it's a fat one so I just turn off the power with the power switch. I've tried that multiple times. The psp says it sent the signal, then my ps3 beeps 5 double beeps and powers off. Correct? Or is this where the source of failing begins?

It shouldn't beep 5 times when you'r trying to put it into service mode it should just power off. I've heard of people having problems running the jig on their psp and some have even said they bricked their psp. I use my old android phone and it works great it was always hit and miss when I tried with my psp and It's a 1001 with the first mobo.

Thats exactly the same psp I have. -.-
What? Do you know if there's an iPhone app for that?
If not, then I could borrow my dads or brothers android phone.
Can I have the name of that app?
    Thank you. (:

Darn! I dont have any compatible devices. I even tried looking at the calculators and it's a no go. What's a good cheap dongle that'll work? PS3 key perhaps? Any other alternative?

    Thank you
