Please check first if the laser eye is the same, if yes and the boards have the same connections you must swap the boards otherwise they wont work, because they are encrypted to work only in that model.
But please open the drive and check both lasers, to seek if they are the same, if not donīt proceed with the swap.

Yes i know its easy to repair the laser, but allso have to find out if it is the laser that the problem or the cirket board? and if there was a way to make the other drive work, i could save some cash ;-)
When i inset a game in the drive it dosnt even show its loading, in the top right coner ind the xmb, what do that mene??? is it the laser or cirket board that burnd?
If the cirket board i burned, can it even eject or inset disks?

My experience on this matter tells me the laser is wasted.
The drive is not spinning, or if it spins is just a little a little then stops, but usualy when you insert the disc it does no move at all.
I bet 100 on that laser!
If you buy on ebay please make sure they give you warranty for that product otherwise dont buy from them and choose another seller.
Which one is bad? 2 eye lens or 1 eye?
