PS3 Black screen (bricked) and error code 8002F157 after updating

Hi,

I got here a ps3 slim who wont boot.
It gives me always a black screen. I tried a PSP with PS3JIG and always black screen.

I only came into the recovery menu. Nothing works into the recovery menu. If i tried to update it said that i need to update to 3.56 but i downloaded it onto my usb stick tried to update it but after preparing the installation it gives me error 8002F157.

Anybody who knows how to fix this PS3?

i assume u get a display on the screen and it asks u to update with an update folder in a flash drive( select +start screen) ??

1. Are u using a neat pendrive formatted with fat32 with proper update 3.55official ?

After changing the hard drive with a old one now I got a display to select select + start to install a firmware.

But it said i need to install 3.56.

Should 3.55 work :o

I tried 3.55 but it cant installed.

I need to install 3.56.

If i install 3.56 it gives me error 8002F157.

I googled a few hours but cant find a solution for this :s

from resading other sites it is a spefici update error code
think i actually had the same error when updating from 3.41 to OFW3.55
many reports of fixing it by using another usb stick
i had to use the hdd i use for games as i got errors with my other stick
you said u got the error after replacing a hdd
what was the firmware you had going on the other hdd on it

To my knowledge, no console will compulsory say that it needs 3.56. It could be a flash drive problem or u mite have other external device connected to usb slots

I believe you get a message saying "please install 3.56 firmware version or higher" or something to that respect...

I tried another usb stick but the same error.
The other HDD had firmware 3.55 on board with 3.56 spoofer.

I also tried to remove my ps3 controller from the other slot but same error

If i now turn my ps3 on the following messages came into my screen:

- Please connect the controller with a usb cable and press the PS key.

- The system software is not functional. Press the PS key for a reboot.
If the reboot wont work you need to install the firmware again. Please connect a usb with updatedata from version 3.56 or higher and press START and SELECT the same time. Check the SCE site for the update.

Anyone a solution?

* I also got a PSJailbreak
