Ok im very new to this so i might need a little extra help. I have a 80 gig B.W. compatible ps3, jail broken ipod touch 2gen 8 gigs, a few smaller flash drives and a laptop with windows 7 prof. i dont have a lot of money to it has to be little to no cost. i know there is alot of different ways to do this but i want one that wont kill my ps3 and maybe some feedback from people that have jailbroken there ps3. also i heard there is a jailbreak that makes it where you ccan still play some games online. is that true? and please bare with me because i might have questions too, would be helpful to get step by step info and all the programs i might/will need

there is no way so far to play online with jailbreak or any CFW .

so if you want to play Homebrew and Games from Internal HDD or External HDD go for CFW 3.55 Kmeaw some news games also works by Duplex Team

but if you dont then go for the latest OFW 3.73 NO Homebrew no Games from Both External and Internal but you will be able to Play online games via PSN .and of course newest games .

ok so what is the ofw(?) 3.73? because i plan on buying a junky ps3 from ebay or something for around 50 bucks or so so it doesnt matter for that playing online, i got my 80gig baby for that, but i will be getting another 80gig to jailbreak. im just looking for soem info on what it does and how to do it(if possible as much detail as you can, im not that smart with this stuff)

ok so what is the ofw(?) 3.73?

OFW = Official Firmware (what you get from Sony).

ok so if im right basicly its either stick with ofw and be able to use it normally nothing special or go to custom with no online play but i can play homebrewed games(btw where and how do i get homebrewed games?)
