    Hi,

I need some explication, I have a 60 GB CECHA01 256MB in 3.41, in the comptability list, it says that my ps3 risk to brick if I try to go on CFW 3.55.

But, in some threads, some peoples says that KMEAW CFW is compatible with my PS3.

My question is ; What should I do ?? Stay in 3.41 or update to KMEAW CFW 3.55 ??

    Anyone went in 3.55 CFW with a 60GB PS3 ? HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP

    Thank You!

I have a 60gb ps3 and I did the kmeaw cfw and its works fine thank Allah no bricks but I don't try any blu ray movies bec I don't have blu ray movies,I tried my ps3 games and it works both the backed up ones and the original discs one, what I know about the cfw that breaking consoles is wankonk,so don't use it.
any way in the end all of the hacks is in ur own risk but don't try wankonk at all.
I hope more people can help u as well.

Don`t touch Waninkoko`s CFW... It WILL kill your console.

Kmeaw is safe. Just install the factory 3.55 FW first to be on the safe side.

Hey I have the same model as you and yes it is safe, just make sure you do it the right way.

    1. Upgrade to 3.55 from either Sony online or USB
    2. Install Kmeaw 3.55 in recovery mode.
A got dang Savage with a record of always winning!!

Dont forget to check md5 hash numbers before you try anything. Wrong files can brick your console. I also own a similar model like yours and using kmaew 3.55 with multiman 1.13.1 and works like a charm. Unlike others i dont get freeze issue. Happens once in a while which is very rare no need to mention either.

    Thanks for your help,

What do you mean by checking md5 hash number ? I know theres a risk to brick the ps3 but i want to minimize it all !!!

there are some tools that check whether the md5 number of the file you downloaded matches the md5 one that should be mentioned, if the numbers are mismatch, there must have been something wrong in the downloading process and its very probable that you got a corrupted file.

i have the 60Gb CECHA Fat - launch model

if you use Waninkoko CFW you have 99,9% to brick your console. so DON'T USE WANINKOKO. don't even think about it.

    i repeat: DON'T USE WANINKOKO.

    again: DON'T USE WANINKOKO

you CAN USE KMEAW CFW or WUTANGRZA + GEOHOT.

    1) Check you are on OFW 3.55
    2) Download KMEAW and CHECK THE MD5 (to be sure it is the real one, because fakes could always hide somewhere on the web). To check the MD5 you can find many freeware softwares. google to find one.
    3) Update
    4) Install Homebrews
    5) Enjoy

i've done this to your same model (changing from Wutangrza to Kmeaw and viceversa a couple of times) and it worked perfectly.

this operation is 99% safe on your model (you will never be 100% safe with a CFW, up to you to take this risk)
