PS3 4.30 rebug corrupt storage need help –
My ps3 is on cfw 4.30 rebug and before ftping (the last of us) I ftp (devil may cry for the ps2 classics) and got corrupt storage when I restarted. I need some help guys what would be the best way to fix this without losing my games and saves?

Do you have your eeid root key? Is so you could try reading the drive from windows using the tool that was recently released and it may let you dump it or it may give you an error. Tbh I'm thinking you are screwed but its worth a try. This is why you should always keep a backup of your games saves and other important files on another storage media. I advice you buy an HDD to use for that exact purpose to avoid this in the future.
So which was it? A corrupt Game, or a corrupted HDD?
A) See my first Post...
B) Try placing the PS3 into Safe Mode...
Press the Power Button (On the PS3), and continue pressing it down for +5 Seconds (BEEP). continue holding the Power Button till the PS3 shuts down. Press the Power Button again, hold it for another +5 Seconds (BEEP, BEEP) you should now be in "Safe Mode"
Option "3" would seem to be your likely candidate: "Restore File System" -- 'Attempts to repair all areas on the hard disk drive where files can be saved. Corrupted data may be erased if it cannot be recovered'.
Yes this was done correctly because I got a few others I was playing. I think I might have the eeid root key on the hdd I took out from the ps3 80gb, but I will try the restore file system first. I strongly believe the last of us is corrupted since I got like 50 files on my ftp that just would not transfer.

You might be able to quash a couple of Games on that Drive. But as I found out for myself. You have to have at least TWICE the space on your HDD to not only install the ~Installer~ but also for the Game itself. And if you just don't have the Space anymore its not like Filezilla is gonna warn you about it.

Sounds to me like you are stuck trying to format. Though I'd still try the windows command line tools for reading the HDD if its possible. If not I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you luck recovering your data loss.
An old saying:
There are only two types of data. Backed up data, and lost data.
