long time reader first time poster
i am fairly new to ps3 CFW
i installed Kakaroto CFW 3.55 but it wont allow me to run singed homebrew apps it keeps telling me i need to log in the account used to purchase the apps
do i need to downgrade?
i cant install Geohots CFW due to it causing my ps3 to beep twice quickly then once then turn off
currently restoring my ps3 to factory defaults
can anyone explain to me how to get the ps3 into service mode i do have an xmax usb key
any suggestions

you should have read before updating your ps3
sadly you will be new data to the statistics of people who updated, before bothered to read
if you were really a long time reader, you would have known that there is no way to downgrade 3.55 as of yet
so ur xmax usb key has no use to you right now. just put it away until maybe a dongle jailbreak solution gets released for 3.55 or maybe a downgrade, which was declared impossible by kakaroto
if you actually read you would have known these things

yep..there is no downgrade for 3.55 but i guess you are the one that dont what to read.
He can get 3.55 into factory mode with the downgrader and from there load the OFW 3.55 and then load GEOHOT CFW.

Enter Recovery mode and install 3.55 OFW from USB
PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.PUP
let it run it's course
Then once back to the XMB replace the update file with Geohot's CFW file and update from usb from the system update on XMB.
then you'll be on Geohot's CFW which will allow signed homebrew to run.
