ps2 isos on ps3 help a newbie
ps2 isos on ps3 help a newbie –
i played all my backups on usb advance but finally my ps2 crapped out on me
so i was offered to buy a ps3 from a friend cheap its a CECHE PS3 firmware v3.10
i was wondering is there a way i can play my existing ps2 backups on this ps3?
also whats the best firmware or that i should install on this ps3
Currently the only way to do this is to get a Cobra dongle, which means you will have to have to cobra firmware. Otherwise Rogero 4.30 or Rebug 4.21 are probably the best, although they do not allow PS2 back ups.
Consider getting another ps2 for cheap to play ps2 games. If that's what you used to use, you have the controllers and know-how to play your iso's. I'd imagine they are pretty cheap on Craigslist or just trade something around your house for one.
For the ps3, go with the latest rogero 4.3 firmware and the latest multiman. Then just put ps3 games on a fat32 external hard drive and game on.
Hopefully soon we will be able to play ps2 games on ps3 without the need for the cobra dongle. No one knows when that will be though.
