PS Jailbreak with PL3 or Hermes

So i ordered a PS jailbreak dongle because I'm tired of using my roommates Ti-84. But I feel as though that was a big mistake because i don't think I can put PL3 on it. Can someone clarify?

I ordered the original one BTW it was $10.00 with free shipping so i was like f it. I'm seeing mixed information though, it looks like the 2nd one is upgradeable but what about the silver one. I dont have it yet so i cant test it. I just want to know now if im an ass hole.

Damnit, I got it from deal extreme. The reviews iv'e read indicated good customer service so if it's shit maybe i can get something else. The clone would be an indication of a most likely unflashable board?

psjailbreak can't be updated. Have a clone myself... Just ordered a maximus avr 32k v1.2

I don't know what Payload is the best because Hermes v4 is not updated and PL3 Github to , no more update since 12 November for PL3

Now update become by other user than KaraRoto or Hermes , like Xoeo ........

It's i think hard to make a good Payload and requier lot of time so i just wait
