Maybe not but they might just end up releasing everything to the public since they're in a heap it appears.

Don't forget they are the ones that made the backup manager.pkg right? I mean the initial PSJB thing was a big surprise. They could surprise once again. I assume if it's true they've made more .pkg files (MKV player, PS2/PS1 backup loader etc.), so we'll be able to (theoretically if they exist and all that) use them.

I can do that with a DOS batch file. I can't see it being hard to do with a Sony SDK kit.
To code an MKV player, NTFS support, and a PS1/PS2 emulator - that is completely different.
NTFS support would need to be run from the kernel level, and the PS1/PS2 emulator would need full hardware access, and also a hardware/software transcoder since PS3's no longer have backwards compatibility.
I can't see this happening for a long time at all, and most likely not without a custom FW.
hence, they are grasping at straws. their entire market died when PSGroove came out, and whatever market they had left after that also completely died when the court cases concluded in Australia, and then started in the USA.
Theyve ripped off their resellers, and completely took the money and ran.

This looks like bullshit, you could change backup manager ID and MAYBE save yourself from being banned, and the PC was already announced that it will have updates, but MKV and ps1/2 support?! NTFS was already pushing boundaries of believablity, and the slim along with about half the phat consoles don't have cross compatibility, it'd be madness to install an emulator of that magnitude and filesize, especially when it wasn't designed for that console model
I think this may just be a wishlist that someone wrote up, too much in so little time...
If it is true though, good for them.
Not a fan of no [IMG/] code in sigs
Here is the rest from an interview conducted with PSJailbreak team and chipspain
Why The Delay?
“I assure you the new feature is well worth the wait” it’s not just the packaging we are updating, we are also updating the soft! As I have told you before we need to add the new feature. we cannot ship till all finished because then everyone will see the final version one week before. we need everyone to receive the final versions for capabatibility. Older version of Ps jailbreak will not be able to handle the same support and then your customers will be very angry."
Why Are You Not Communicating Anymore?
"If we do not show more information it is to make sure that so called clone makers and the people that aren’t happy with us now stay far behind."
Are You Scared Of The Clones? *Answer does not include the PS Groove as it was released after this interview
"We are sure that clones won’t be able to apply and receive updates and cannot work for longer than 1 month if they do exist! I am not sure clones exist or that all company that say they do have something. Beware, many scams exist! Many clone makers will lose money and clone buyers too."
Is The Thing Ever Going To Ship?
"we are sorting everything out as fast as we can. I can assure you that this will not be a Wode or Wiikey fusion style delay. Contrary to them, our product work and is the best we know it will be the best."
