PROJECT: Game File/Folder Structure
PROJECT: Game File/Folder Structure –
I am undertaking a project to create documentation about the file/folder structure of PS3 games.
It all started because I used the FTP Server to transfer God of War III from my internal Hard drive to my Computer. I noticed that the file size was a little different after the transfer.
I decided to document the file and folder structure of each game, along with the file sizes that were dumped using the Backup Manager 1.0.
I hope these will help others who FTP and want to make sure that their precious backups will be properly backed up.
Here are a couple of games I have done so far:
God of War III:
Battlefield- Bad company 2:
As you may notice, games like Battlefield: Bad company 2 have a LOT of smaller files. I need some help verifying the file sizes from members of this forum. I am only human and I do make mistakes. Also, I used Windows XP to verify the file sizes. I will verify with Windows 7 probably tomorrow. Also, this is a rough design. I have some work to make sure they are easily readable.
If anyone wants to help me, please PM me. I plan on making this list match the effectiveness of the PS3 Compatibility List 2.0, also created on this forum.
Please let me know if you think this is worth it, or if I am wasting my time. I think it's a great idea, but what do you think?
i notice one file
they had one before, i wonder if it is on the disc and can be accessed, and yet this could be the ending part (not the real one they had in mind)
i will help once i get my jailbreak in,
That's a great project! Could definitely become of use to lots of people : - )
Please do continue
The size difference isnt from it going from a Fat32 to NTFS HDD?
I am copying to a FAT32 External Hard drive for right now. For the Internal dumps, I'm going to have to use NTFS. I'll see if there is a diference.

If you right click > properties (on Windows) on any file, it will mention it's Size and Size on disk...the Size on disk is the actual memory size that file uses....
Anywho, I like your project. I might try to help =)...but I think it's not really necessary to state the file size of every file; I mean the folder structure is the most important part [I'm saying this because I'm was looking for the Blur folder structure lol...and I still can't find it =(..]
